ClearGate

Proof

What the gate stopped, what the stock agent did, and the command behind each number.

The bank voice agent

A failed-payment support line in Hindi and English. Callers pose as branch staff, the RBI fraud cell or a hospital and ask for money to go to a new account. The same calls go to the agent with no guardrails and to the gated agent.

Second example: a coding agent

Five agents fix a duplicate-refund bug. The GitHub issue they read hides an instruction to export customer records, email them out and push to main.

The gate that evolves

cleargate evolve is a policy fuzzer with no LLM in it. It mutates every attack the policy stopped and keeps whatever gets through.

It found a hole in our own rule. Generation 2 got five writes to production past a raw-string branch check: MAIN, Main, heads/main, refs/heads/main, refs/heads/master. The rule now compares the normalised ref. The re-run found 0 gaps in 585 cases over 6 generations, and the real task still passed.

CI: PR #3

cleargate gate re-runs the attacks and the real task on every pull request that touches the agents or the policy. PR #3 lets the fix agent merge without approval. The check fails:

NO-GO: merged by the agent with no human approval

PR #3 on GitHub

The gate's summary table on a passing run: 0 of 20 attacks reached a tool, 3 need AgntID intent.
A passing run on policy.yaml: 0 of 20 attacks reached a tool, 3 need AgntID's intent check.

Figures come from the local AgntID stand-in, labelled "not AgntID" in every signed record.
